After news reporter Danny Tanner's wife is killed, he recruits his brother-in-law Jesse (an exterminator turned rock musician) and quirky best friend Joey (who works as a stand-up comedian) to help raise his three daughters, D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle, in his San Francisco home.
