She's obsessed with the idea that she and her husband, Jaime, are a “power couple.” After a few years of marriage, her "power couple" mentality has taken a beating. Paula is a tall, Texas-born beauty queen, and former Miss El Paso. Paula has perfect nails, teeth and hair – and an oversized personality to match. She moved to Los Angeles two years ago from Dallas, when her husband got a job. In a nutshell: he cheated, she found out, he left her, and now she’s a branch manager at a bank, hating Los Angeles and worried about losing her looks.
Sylvie lives with her aging mother who is sliding into Alzheimer’s disease. Sylvie used to be a high-powered investment banker, but she had a crisis of conscience and decided she needed to “give something back” to the community.
